Energy and Matter by memzu Energy and Matter by memzu
Oils on canvasn, 56x42cm.

Energy turning into matter and matter into energy. All the same... And the fear of being whole with all. Of humanity and one person... I don't wan't to say too much, you can see it, in your own ways :) ..Many personal things are connected in this ... and also all mirrored through human/sun relationship, which makes it handle things in the level of society.

This is my entry for the Green Energy Project of the Energy Art Movement [link]

extra:
Largest painting I've done so far. I started this about five months ago. I haven't really done other paintings at the same time. Has taken alot of energy and effort and I'm exhausted but happy about I could handle the subject this well into canvas. I've been really quite spaced out since I got this ready. Who am I? No idea. : ) I kinda painted out feeling that has been in the air (or just in my head?) that has disturbed me about one third of my life. Empty.

The centralized composition with the storm of writhing detail is very effective. I like how it's all anchored to the center. The eye and hand in the center gives the viewer a human element to focus on and experience all the other detail in the piece.

This is really amazing. There is so much going on and I think everyone will interpret things in diffrenent ways - but that is the nature of art. While it is inside our heads it has a personal meaning and once we put it out there it almost takes on a life of it's own and others see what they will in it. I think your point about things that have disturbed you is important - a lot of art is about trying to make sense of a universe which in many ways does not make sense. Once we visualise it, it may provide some clarity, though there is always something else to challenge us. I'm sure I will look at this many times in coming months.

Good thoughts :) I find many times that I've had some subconscious big issues in mind which have bothered me without me really realizing that and then I've kind of accidentally analyzed those thoughts in my works. Great "language" and tool for thinking this art indeed :) ..But oh well, religions, science, art all pondering what it's all about, from their own perspective, seems to be human nature..

This is stunning configuration of the absolute nothingness and everything connected. I know you have a great chance on winning with the Green Energy Project.

I can see the wonderful effort, yet effortless, for it is channeled from such a creative mind's eye. Well done!

Thanks, nicely summarized :) I always talk the earths and skies about my works and never really see clearly what they are simply about.
Yeah, the project was a old thing from about three years ago. I don't really even remember if it had a competition in it :D

Well obviously if it was 3 years ago and you don't remember it that well, you didn't win. :-)

Keep speaking to your spirit self, the earth and skies, they will be more honest with you than most. Love your work! Thanks.

Thanks :) yep, something over 100 hours, but that's really nothing compared to some surreal artist I adore that may use normally something from 200 to over 1000 hours to one piece... But yes, usually the works are also bigger..
